Nuttin' But Love is the fifth and final studio album by rap group, Heavy D & the Boyz.The album was released on May 24, 1994 by Uptown Records and was produced by DJ Eddie F, Teddy Riley, Marley Marl, Erick Sermon, Kid Capri, Easy Mo Bee, The Trackmasters, and Pete Rock.Nuttin' But Love proved to be the groups most successful release, reaching #11 on the Billboard 200, #1 on Billboard'sTop R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart (for one week), and was certified 2x Platinum. Four singles from the album made it on at least one Billboard singles chart: "Nuttin' But Love", "Got Me Waiting" (the highest charting single from the album, peaking at #20 on the Billboard Hot 100), "Black Coffee" and "Sex Wit You". The video for "Nuttin' But Love" also featured actress Rebecca Gayheart, who was then just known as "The Noxzema Girl" for her commercials for the skin care product. The iSouth Artist to Watch popped by SiriusXM Hits recently, and recorded a beyond-vulnerable cover of Whitney Houston’s ’80s classic, “How Will I Know.” In contrast to the original’s infectious rhythm, the U.K. crooner’s version is slowed down considerably, recasting “How Will I Know” as a bittersweet lament of unrequited love. Totally Sam’s M.O., as anyone who has listened wept along to his debut studio album, In The Lonely Hour, can tell you.
Even though there’s a piano accompanying the “Stay With Me” singer, it’s Sam’s voice that’s the star of this video. As he recently told The FADER: “I’m so passionate about the singing voice… What I’m trying to do actually with my album is show that it’s my voice that’s leading. It’s my voice that’s the instrument.”
Well, all that weeping has certainly drained my feelings reservoir. I think I, like, physically need to listen to Whitney’s original “How Will I Know” on repeat for a few hours to build back that serotonin.

They take on Silk’s ’90s Quiet Storm classic “Lose Control. Though a cover, Day 26 seems to be getting back to the basics by slowing it down and making baby-making music. The EP, The Return, drops on Thursday, June 26. I love effort from the guys, but check their version and Silk’s live version from the Apollo in the 90’s. Hmmm I think Lil G is the truth!!!! So So Def Recordings and Hard Case Records has announced a new deal with BMG Primary Wave Artists Services to release the multi-platinum-selling group Jagged Edge‘s eighth studio album, J.E. Heartbreak Too, this fall 2014. The album’s lead single, “Hope,” is a classic R&B throwback to the signature sound on the initial J.E. Heartbreak, which sold over 2 million records in 2000. “Making a sequel to a classic album is difficult,” says So So Def CEO Jermaine Dupri, who serves as executive producer on the upcoming prohect. “We don’t want to stray from the blueprint of the first album. It’s definitely a challenge, but the fans won’t be disappointed.”Jagged Edge states that they are extremely excited to join forces with Jermaine Dupri again.
